Construction Permits Reforms

Government of the Punjab is committed to introducing reforms which will improve the business environment of the province. Following are the reforms which have been introduced:

Step 1

Automated building permit issuance system.

Step 2

LDA has specified the time limit (30 days) for approval of building plans. If the plans are not sanctioned within 30 days, the owner can start construction.

Completion certificate fee for commercial building has been fixed at Rs. 10,000.

Step 4

LDA has notified only 1 inspection during construction of warehouse by amending building by-laws.

Step 5

As per Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) Amended Building & Zoning Regulations 2019, an NOC is no longer required for obtaining building permit for non- hazardous warehouse.

Step 6

LDA has automated the process of paying building permit and completion fee therefore these dues can be paid via debit/credit card and ATM.

Step 7

As per LDA’s amended Building & Zoning Regulations 2019, application for water & sewerage connection can be submitted along with building permit application.
