The testimony of a woman does carry the same evidentiary weight in court as a man’s, except, in matters pertaining to financial or future obligations, if reduced to writing, the instrument shall be attested by two men, or one man and two women, so that one may remind the other, if necessary, and evidence shall be led accordingly.

The financial incentives, i.e. refund of court fee, can be made to the parties by the court in exercise of its inherent powers in case of successful mediation or conciliation.

Court automation and case management system has been introduced at Lahore High Court (LHC).

Moreover, for out of court settlement and to promote Alternate Dispute Resolution system, three mediation centers were established at Lahore District which were further scaled up to all districts of Punjab by the Lahore High Court.
